How MiawDoku works

GoalFill the grid so each cat appears once per row, column, and 3x3 box

Look at empty cell Find a cell that needs a cat

Check which cats fit See which cats are already in that row, column, and box

Place the cat Tap the cell and choose the cat that doesn't repeat

Move to next empty Continue until the grid is complete

WinAll cells filled with no cat repeating in any row, column, or box

Controls

Fill each 3x3 subgrid row and column with each unique cat only once Every row column and subgrid should contain all nine different cats with no repeats

Tips

Look at the 3x3 boxes first—they're easier to solve than scanning whole rows and columns.
If a row or column already has 8 different cats, the last one must go in the empty spot.
Check what cats are missing from each 3x3 box to narrow down which cat goes where.
