Project analytics
Track visitors, page views, bounce rate, visit duration, traffic sources, and devices for your sites — plus heatmaps, reports, and an AI chat over your stats.
Volnyn includes first-party analytics for your sites. Published AI sites and classic sites feed visit data into the dashboard so you can see whether a launch, post, or campaign is bringing people in.
Open analytics from the site area:
- Overview / highlights:
/user/site/analytics - Connect external tools (GA4 / PostHog):
/user/site/analytics-connect— see Google Analytics
First-party analytics is separate from GA4. Use both if you want Volnyn’s dashboard and Google’s reports.

Metrics
Typical first-party metrics include:
- Visitors — unique people
- Page views — total pages viewed
- Sessions — visits
- Bounce rate — single-page visits
- Average duration / pages per session
- Live visitors — recent activity windows
- Source — where traffic came from (direct when unknown)
- Device — desktop / mobile / tablet style splits
- Country — geographic breakdown
- Top pages — most viewed paths
- New vs returning — where available
Exact charts depend on the screen (highlights, traffic, behavior, realtime).
Time ranges and realtime
Use the period controls on each view where available. Realtime focuses on recent activity (for example the last few minutes) so you can watch a launch.
AI chat over analytics uses a recent digest (on the order of the last 30 days of stats), not an open-ended SQL warehouse. Ask concrete questions about traffic, pages, and sources.
How data is collected
- Classic sites: middleware and front-end beacons (page time, heatmap clicks, events) write into Volnyn’s visit tables.
- AI published sites: server-side visit recording on the published host feeds the same analytics store.
- Cookie-style visitor/session identifiers keep sessions coherent without building marketing profiles across unrelated products.
External GA4/PostHog tags (if connected) run in parallel and send to those products only.
AI chat for analytics
On analytics screens that expose it, you can ask questions such as:
Which pages had the most views last week?
Where is most of my traffic coming from?
Answers are grounded in the stats digest Volnyn prepares for the site. Chat usage follows normal AI credit rules for conversational requests.
Heatmaps
Heatmaps show aggregated click positions for pages that emit heatmap beacons. Open Heatmaps, pick a page, and inspect hotspots. Coverage is strongest where the front tracker is installed; treat sparse maps as incomplete instrumentation, not “zero interest.”
Session recordings
The Session recordings entry exists in the nav as a reserved area. Full rrweb-style replay is not shipped as a complete product surface yet — do not expect Lovable-style session filmstrips here today.
Privacy
First-party analytics is meant for aggregate traffic understanding (visits, pages, devices, sources), not building dossiers on individuals. Prefer GA4/PostHog privacy settings and cookie banners as required by your jurisdiction when you also inject third-party tags.
