Slides

Tell chat what your presentation is about and Volnyn writes and designs the deck, slide by slide, in a panel beside the conversation. Edit any slide by asking, then present it full screen.

Open chat (/user/chat) and click Slides under the composer, or go straight to /user/chat?mode=presentation. You can also just ask in plain chat — "make a presentation about our Q3 results" — and Volnyn builds a deck.

Make a deck

1. Click Slides under the composer.
2. Describe the deck. The more of these you include, the better: the subject, the audience or occasion, the sections you want, and how many slides.
3. Press Enter.

If your message already says what the deck covers — a subject and an audience, a list of sections, a slide count with a topic, or a pasted outline — Volnyn builds straight away.

If it only names a kind of deck ("make a pitch deck"), Volnyn suggests the sections it would use and asks one question about the biggest gap — who's in the room, what the deck must achieve, or what it's about. Tap one of the suggested answers or type your own. Your next message always starts the build; you won't get a second question.

In Slides mode the start screen also shows ready-made starting points under Get started with — Executive Tech Brief, Cinematic Explainer, Executive Briefing, Operating Model Deck, Industry Report, Future Outlook and Product Sales Pitch.

While it builds

The slides panel opens on the right straight away. Progress in the chat reads Setting up the deck, then Writing and designing N slides, and finally N slides written and designed. The deck appears in the panel when it's ready, and a deck card is added to the chat.

The number of slides you can get may be limited by your plan, so a deck can come back shorter than you asked for.

Work with the deck

The slides panel header has:

Edit a slide

Click Edit to open the editing strip under the current slide:

Click Done editing to close the strip.

The deck card

Each finished deck leaves a card in the chat showing its first slide, with two buttons:

• Download as PDF — opens the deck in the full editor for export.
• Open slides — opens a large viewer with Download, Present, Edit in the side panel and Close.

Your slides library

All your decks are listed on the Slides page (/user/presentation). Search with Search slides.... Hover a deck to:

• Open it in chat, in the slides panel.
• Edit its name (up to 150 characters).
• Delete it. Deleted decks are moved to trash.

Decks also appear in Space under Slides.

To make a new deck, use Slides in chat.

Tips

• Give it the room. "A 10-slide deck for investors at our seed round" produces a very different deck from "a deck about our startup".
• Paste an outline if you already know the structure. Volnyn follows it and skips the question.
• Write in your own language. Volnyn replies — and asks its question — in the language and script you used.
• Edit slide by slide for small fixes. Use Reprompt only when you want a different deck.

FAQ

Why did Volnyn ask me a question instead of building? Your message named a type of deck but not what's in it. Answer, or say "just build it", and the next message starts the build.

Why do I have fewer slides than I asked for? Your plan sets a maximum number of slides per deck.

How do I download PowerPoint? Click PPTX. It opens the deck in the full presentation editor, where PowerPoint export is available on plans that include it.

Can I change one slide without rebuilding the deck? Yes. Click Edit on that slide and use Regenerate, Reword, Replace image, or type what to change.

Do slides need a paid plan? On the standard setup, yes. Without one, Volnyn opens the plans sheet.
