Selling services
List what you do in the Volnyn Services catalogue, get paid by card, and run every order and appointment from one dashboard.
The Services catalogue is Volnyn's marketplace for people who sell their work — a barber, a tutor, a logo designer, a web developer. Buyers browse it at /services/all, open a listing, and either book a time with you or order finished work from you. Payment happens by card on the listing page, and the order or booking lands in your dashboard.
You set up a service in chat, and you manage it from Space → Services.
Two kinds of service
Every listing sells one of two things. You choose which when you create it.

You can list both kinds. Most sellers end up with at least one of each.
If a listing was created without a kind (for example, directly in the older freelancer app), Volnyn works it out from the category. Remote categories — design, digital marketing, web and app development, video, music, writing and translation, research, data, finance, customer service — are treated as delivered work. Everything else is treated as an appointment, because someone turns up.

Create a service
Services are created in chat with a short step-by-step form. Nothing goes live until you have reviewed it.
- Open Space, choose the Services filter, and click New service (or Create your first service if you have none yet). This opens chat with the seller wizard.
- Choose List a service. (Choose My profile instead to edit your bio, skills, hourly rate, experience level, languages and photo.)
- Answer Which one is closer to your work?
- People book a time with me — for appointments.
- I deliver finished work — for delivered work.
- Fill in each step:

- Click Review, check the summary, then Publish service.
When it is published, the chat card confirms that the service is live and saved to your account, with a link to it in your Library.
Your hours are shown to buyers in your own time zone. You can change them later from the listing page (see Bookings).
The Services dashboard
Open Space and pick the Services filter. Instead of the usual card grid you get the seller dashboard.
At the top is a line of numbers:

Click a number to jump to those orders. Below it are four tabs:

The search box in Space filters the dashboard too.
Managing a listing
In the Services tab each listing shows one of these states:

| Paused | You turned off Taking orders. Buyers cannot order it until you turn it back on. |
Actions on each listing:
- Edit prices — change the regular price, discount price, delivery time and revisions for Basic, Standard and Premium, then Save prices.
- Taking orders — the on/off switch. Turning it off pauses the listing.
- Edit details — opens the listing page in edit mode to change the title, description and photos. A sparkle button rewrites a field with AI.
- Open — view the public listing.
- More → Delete service — removes it from the catalogue. This cannot be undone.
Price rules the dashboard enforces:
- Basic always needs a price above 0.
- A discount price must be lower than the regular price.
- Standard and Premium go on sale together: give both a price, or leave both empty.
- Revisions must be a whole number.
How money moves

The platform commission and service fee are set by the marketplace administrator, and can differ per seller or per seller subscription. The Earnings tab shows exactly what was deducted on each order.
Card payments go through Stripe's hosted checkout. Volnyn never sees the card number.
Tips
- Pick the right kind. A haircut listed as delivered work gets an Order now button and no calendar. If buyers are asking "when can you come?", it should be an appointment.
- Open your hours. An appointment listing without hours still works — buyers can Ask for a time — but published slots let them book and pay in one go.
- Write a clear description. Buyers compare listings side by side. Write it for me gives you a solid first draft to edit.
- Add Standard and Premium. Three packages let buyers choose how much they want to spend. The listing page has a Compare packages view.
- Answer messages. Every listing has a Message button, and every order and booking starts a thread in Messages between you and the buyer.
FAQ
Do I need a separate freelancer account? No. Your Volnyn login is your seller account. The marketplace links the two by your email address.
Can I sell both appointments and delivered work? Yes. Create one listing of each kind.
Can I change a listing from one kind to the other? The kind is recorded when you create the listing. To change it, create a new listing with the other choice and delete or pause the old one.
Why is my service "Waiting for approval"? It has been published but has not been approved for the catalogue yet. It shows as Live once approved.
Can I book or order my own service? No. On your own listing you see an editor and your availability instead of the booking or order form.
What currency are prices in? Bookings are charged in USD. Orders use the marketplace's site currency. The checkout shows the exact amount before you pay.
Where do buyers talk to me? In Messages. A new booking or order posts its details into the thread between you and the buyer, so the brief, time and note are all in one place.
