Buy a domain
Search for a domain name, register it without leaving Volnyn, and have its name servers pointed at Volnyn for you.
Already own a domain? You do not need this page — go straight to Connect a custom domain. This page is for registering a new domain through Volnyn.
Where to find it
Open your site dashboard and go to Domains & URLs in the site sidebar:

The Domains page (/user/domains) also has a button to search for a new domain.
Find a name
- Open Buy a Domain.
- Under Domain Name, type the full domain you want — for example
example.com,mysite.ioorshop.store. A preview pill shows exactly what you typed. - Choose the Registration Years: 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10.
- Click Search Availability.
Volnyn checks your name and shows whether it is Available or Unavailable, with the price. It also checks the same name on popular extensions — .com, .net, .org, .io, .co, .biz, .info, .online, .tech, .site — and lists them under More TLD suggestions with a Buy button for each one that is free.
Buy it
- Click Proceed to Purchase (or Buy on a suggestion).
- Check the Domain Purchase Details: the domain, Price per Year, Registration Period and Total Amount. Prices are in USD.
- Leave Enable Auto Renewal ticked if you want the domain marked to renew before it expires.
- Choose a Payment Method:

| PayPal | You are sent to PayPal. When you return, the domain is registered. |
| Offline methods | Follow the Payment Instructions shown, and Upload Receipt if asked. The purchase stays pending until the payment is confirmed. |
- Click Complete Purchase.
The payment methods listed are the ones the platform has switched on.
What happens after you pay
When payment is confirmed:
- The domain is registered in your name for the years you chose.
- Its name servers are set to Volnyn's automatically — you do not need to visit a registrar.
- You get a Domain Registration Successful email.
- You land on the Domains page with "Domain registered successfully! Nameservers have been automatically updated."
Next, attach the domain to your site. For an AI-built site, open Custom Domain (/user/site/ai-domain), enter the domain and click Verify — see Connect a custom domain. Because the name servers already point at Volnyn, you can skip the DNS step there.
Manage purchased domains
Purchased Domains lists every domain you bought:

Click View Details on a domain to see its full details and name servers.
Change name servers
If you want to host the domain's DNS somewhere else:
- Open the domain's details.
- Click Update Nameservers.
- Enter Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2 (3 and 4 are optional).
- Save.
Pointing the name servers away from Volnyn means you will need to add DNS records yourself to keep the domain working with your Volnyn site — see the A-record option in Connect a custom domain.
Tips
- Search the name, not the extension. The suggestions show you the same name on ten popular extensions at once.
- Register for more than a year if the name matters to you — it is one less renewal to remember.
- Keep Volnyn's name servers unless you have a reason not to. HTTPS and DNS are then handled for you.
FAQ
I already own a domain. Do I need to buy it again? No. Use Connect a custom domain.
The search says "Unable to check availability". Domain registration may not be set up on the platform, or the registry did not answer. Try again in a moment; if it keeps failing, contact support.
My purchase says Pending. You paid with an offline method. It is registered once the payment is confirmed.
Registration failed after I paid. You see "Domain registration failed. Please contact support." Contact support with your order — the payment is recorded against it.
Can I buy a domain I already own? No. Volnyn tells you You already own this domain.
How do I renew? Watch the Expiry Date in Purchased Domains. Contact support if a domain marked Expiring Soon needs renewing.
