Blog

Write, publish, and manage blog posts on your template site — with categories, tags, comment moderation, post analytics, and AI tools that draft whole posts or polish a paragraph.

The blog gives your site a place for news, guides, and stories. You write in a full-screen editor, organize posts with categories and tags, moderate reader comments, and see which posts get read.

The blog is available on plans that include Blog.

Open it at Blog (/user/blogs). The blog has seven tabs, each with its own address:

Add ?language=en (or another language code) to work on posts in that language.

Write a post

  1. Click Create Post (or Create New Post). Volnyn opens the blog editor with a new draft.
  2. Enter a Title and write your content. Use Insert to add images, quotes, and other elements.
  3. Open Post settings to set:
    • Categories and Tags
    • Featured image and its Alt text
    • Excerpt — the short summary shown in post lists
    • Publish date
    • Feature this post
  4. Click Preview to see it as a reader will.
  5. Click Publish when it's ready, or Save Draft to finish later.

The editor saves your work automatically as you type. If you try to leave with unsaved changes, it asks whether to Continue editing or Discard.

SEO settings for a post

In Post settings → SEO Settings you control how the post appears in search and on social media:

Setting What it does
URL slug The end of the post's web address.
Title tag The title shown in Google results.
Meta description The summary shown under the title in Google.
OG title / description / image How the post looks when shared on social media.
Let search engines index this page Turn off to keep a post out of search results.
Robots meta tag and Structured data markup Advanced controls for search engines.

Preview on Google shows how the post will look in search results before you publish.

Create a post with AI

Let AI write a complete first draft:

  1. On Overview or Posts, click Create with AI (or Generate a post).
  2. Describe the post — at least a sentence about the topic.
  3. Optionally set the tone, audience, target length (300 to 2,500 words), and category.
  4. Click Generate.

Volnyn opens the draft in the editor. Read it, fix facts, add your own voice, then publish.

AI drafts are a starting point. Always check names, prices, dates, and claims before you publish.

AI tools inside the editor

Open AI Tools in the editor sidebar for help while you write:

Tool What it does
Title ideas Suggests titles for your topic.
Outline Drafts a section-by-section outline.
Meta tags Writes a meta title and description for search.
Tags Suggests tags for the post.
Grammar and style Checks and corrects your writing.
Image Creates a featured image from a description.
Blog post Writes a full post from a topic.

Select text in the editor to use inline actions on just that part: improve, shorten, expand, change tone (for example Professional, Friendly, Casual, Expert, or Humorous), or translate.

Manage posts

The Posts tab groups your posts:

Group What's in it
Published Live posts visitors can read.
Drafts Posts you saved but haven't published.
Trash Posts you deleted.

For each post you can Edit, Duplicate, Preview, or Move to trash. Posts can also be marked as the featured post or a slider post where your theme shows them on the home page.

To delete posts for good, open Trash and click Empty Trash. Posts in trash can be Restored until then.

Categories

Categories group posts by topic, such as "Recipes" or "Company news." They help readers and search engines find related content.

  1. Open Categories (/user/blogs/categories).
  2. Click Create Category.
  3. Enter a Category name, an optional description, and an optional Category image.
  4. Save.

Short on ideas? Click Create with AI. Volnyn reviews your existing categories and suggests new ones. Pick the ones you want to add.

You can edit, delete, or mark a category as featured.

Tags

Tags are keywords that link related posts across categories.

  1. Open Tags (/user/blogs/tags).
  2. Click Create a tag, or use Create Tags with AI for suggestions based on your site's content.

Comments

The Comments tab (/user/blogs/comments) collects reader comments into four groups:

Status Meaning
Published Visible on your post.
Pending Waiting for your approval.
Reported Flagged for review.
Trash Removed.

For each comment you can Approve, Reply (your reply is published right away), move it to another status, or delete it. Select several comments to change them all at once.

Analytics

The Analytics tab shows how your posts perform:

  • Post views over the last 7, 30, or 90 days, or the last 12 months
  • Views by time of day
  • Top posts with clicks, reading time, and engagement
  • Where readers come from (for example Google, Facebook, direct, or organic)

Monetization

The Monetization tab collects ideas for earning from your blog and links you to the Volnyn tools that do it, such as the online shop and courses.

Tips

  • Write a clear excerpt. It's what readers see in post lists and often in search results.
  • Add alt text to every image. It helps screen readers and search engines.
  • Use two to five tags per post. Too many tags dilute them.
  • Draft with AI, then rewrite the introduction in your own words.

FAQ

Does the editor save automatically? Yes. Drafts save as you type. Click Save Draft or Publish to be sure.

Can I write posts in more than one language? Yes. Add languages first (see Languages and SEO), then pick the language on the blog pages.

Do AI tools cost credits? The blog's AI tools use your plan's AI. Check your plan for AI limits.

How do I stop spam comments? Review the Pending list and move unwanted comments to Trash.

Can I bring posts from another blog platform? Import from WordPress or Wix is not available yet. Copy posts in by hand, or paste them into the editor.
